Bobby Palmer passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Dunn's Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with a private burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Bobby was born in West Union, Iowa on August 20, 1930 to Kingsley, and Adeline(Graham) Palmer. He lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. Bobby was retired from the State of Iowa and a member of the Iowa Commission for the Blind and IRIS. Bobby enjoyed bowling, model cars, and playing chess. He also enjoyed owning and racing horses and the many friends he met at Prairie Meadows.
Bobby is survived by Susan and Steve Brody of Marana, AZ; Doug, Marcia and Bianca Brody; Bart, Linda, and Adeline Brody; Melissa and Don Peeler; a special friend Doris Thomas; and many wonderful people in his life.
