Ruth Poleske Rosburg, 83, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
Ruth was born April 29, 1928 to Sears and Anna (Segbert) Poleske in Manilla, Iowa. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for John R. Grubb Home Builders where she retired in 1990. She was a long time member of Ss John and Paul Catholic Church. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Anita Hammer of Denison; brother, Lee Poleske of Alaska; and nieces and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rosburg who died in 1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Ss John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Avenue South in Altoona, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Rescue League.
