Ingeborg "Inga" Opecensky O'Neil passed away March 16, 2012 in Des Moines, Iowa. A Memorial Service for Inga will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21 at the Atrium at Calvin Community Center, 4210 Hickman Road, Des Moines
Inga was born on June 16, 1928 in Assig, Czechoslovakia. She immigrated to Iowa in the early 1950's. She was employed by the Iowa Hardware Mutual Insurance Company where she met her husband, Keith O'Neil. Inga was employed in the accounting department at Midwest Mutual Insurance Company until her retirement on June 28, 1990. Inga enjoyed cooking. Inga and Keith enjoyed entertaining their friends and were active members of St. John's Lutheran Church for many years. The last several years Inga was a resident of Calvin Community Center.
Inga is survived by her sister, Emilie Hecht of Nurnberg, Germany, a brother Fritz Opecensky of Ulm, Germany and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, in 2009.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Calvin Community.
