Harry Lawrence Conrad, 64, passed away on March 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Avenue in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a vigil at 6:30 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
Harry was born on May 30, 1947 to Ralph A. and Adell Conrad in Madison, WI. He graduated from MATC with an Accounting Degree and worked most of his 35 year career in the insurance industry. Harry also served in the Wisconsin Army Reserves for 10 years; and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his children, James (Breanna Allen) Conrad, Ryan and Matthew Conrad, and daughter, Katherine (Lanney) Porter; the mother of his children, Margie Conrad; brother, David (Gloria) Conrad; grandchildren, Chance (Jamie) Porter, Alena, Bowe, Madison and Nathan Porter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special cousin, Leone Liston.
