Robert Eldon “Bob” Wallace was born October 27th, 1944 to Lewis and Alice Wallace in Knoxville, Iowa.

He was the 6th of 12 children and is survived by sisters; Joanne VerHuel of Ankeny, Iowa, Dee DeBonis ( John Leopold), and Sue Hagan, both of Altoona, Iowa; Brothers, Donald (Ruby) of Windsor Heights, Ronald of Altoona, Iowa, and Danny (Marvon) Wallace of Des Moines, Iowa; Sister-in-law, Jolee K. Wallace of Crossville, Tennessee, and long time friend Mary Sue Reed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy Ellen Wallace and Carolyn Roe Osborn; brothers, Marvin Lee, Billy Warren, and Jerry Wayne Wallace.

Bob was a big man, but was kind, gentle, and very laid back., nothing really seemed to bother him. He loved and served his best friend, Jesus Christ. He served for many years until going to the nursing home in 2014 at First Assembly of God on Merle Hay Rd. He even enjoyed setting up the chairs for different events and was in services when the doors were open, even in bad weather.

Bob had several passions! One was travel. He went to Washington State (several tines) to go skiing and even went to Germany and Switzerland by him-self just to go skiing. While in Germany, he bought an original “Cabbage Patch” doll for his niece, Sherry.

Bob took his niece & nephew (Sherry and Dewayne) roller skating and skiing. No one ever broke a bone!!

Bob enjoyed eating and our big family gatherings. He always had a BBQ on the 4th of July.

Services will be Wednesday July 13th with a visitation 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the funeral ceremony at 7 p.m. Burial will be Thursday the 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, Iowa.
