Lola Jean (Koranda) Puckett was born July 7, 1945 in Wadena, Minnesota. She was one of seven children raised by Donald and Ave Koranda. She met her husband Dennis while he was stationed at the air force base in Wadena.

They were married on April 11, 1964. Lola and Dennis moved to Des Moines, Iowa after Dennis completed his military service. They were proud parents of three children: Laurie, Denny, and Trishia. Lola was a wonderful wife and homemaker while the children were being raised. She later worked for over 20 years at Bank of America. After retirement, Lola and Dennis split time between Green Valley, Arizona and Des Moines. Lola passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with blood cancer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family members and friends. She is survived by her husband Dennis; children Laurie Puckett, Denny (Heidi) Puckett, and Trishia (Richard) Perez; 10 grandchildren - Donny (Kari) Puckett, Kelsey (Logan) Hurd, Dustin Perez, Grant (Madison) Puckett, Danielle Perez, Emily (Alex) Wilson, Noah Perez, Hank Puckett, Cole Perez, and Ethan Perez; and 9 great grandchildren.

She was also survived by her siblings Pat Scott, Sandy (Phil) Leighty, Jim (Annie) Koranda, and Kermit (Mary) Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Ave ; siblings Donald Koranda and Harsey Scott, and grandchild Christian Perez.

Visitation will be held at Dunn’s Chapel, 2121 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA on Tuesday July 5th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., with a funeral service on Wednesday July 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bridge, 10025 NW 62nd Ave., Johnston, IA. Internment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
