Sally Nagorner, 93, died Thursday, July 2, 2022 at the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center. Graveside services will be held 9:30 am Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Jewish Glendale Cemetery.

She was born June 6, 1929 in Des Moines to Samuel and Elizabeth (Rotkow) Zeichik. Sally graduated from North High School in 1947. She attended Drake University. She traveled after college. She married Joseph Nagorner on August 24, 1952. They raised three daughters: Anita, Sharon and Nancy. She worked at the Des Moines Jewish Federation.

Passed away as she lived, surrounded by love and family. Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Zeichik; her husband, Joseph Nagorner; her brothers, Milton and Raymond Zeichik; and her daughter, Sharon Engman. Survived by daughters, Anita (Edward) Galemba and Nancy (Mike Olmstead) Biber; son-in-law, Josh Engman; seven grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters.

The family would like to thank the care teams at Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center, Iowa Methodist Medical Center and UnityPoint Hospice for their care. Memorials may be directed to Tifereth Israel Synagogue or the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center.
