Jeffrey Paul Rauen, 57, passed away at home on June 14, 2021, in Des Moines, IA. A visitation will be held from 2 - 4pm on Friday, June 18th, at Iles Westover Chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 4pm.

Jeff was born on April 30, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa. He graduated from Wahlert High School and attended the University of Iowa. He worked at Ramsey auto services for over 30 years.

He loved his children and devoted his life to them, putting their needs before his own. They always made him proud and the love he carried in his heart was so big! He had a saying that he shared with them often: “Try your BEST, that’s all you can do!

He enjoyed being a Hawkeye, Cardinal, and Green Bay Packer fan. Jeff had a great sense of humor, bringing a smile and laughter to everyone he encountered. His sense of humor will be missed.

Jeffrey is survived by his father, Willis Rauen of Dubuque, IA; children, Michael (Annie Stone) Rauen of Ankeny, Zachary Rauen of Des Moines, and Sophia Rauen of Des Moines; sisters, Jane (Thomas) Flynn of Epworth, June (Steven) Flynn of Goodyear, AZ, and Julie (Thomas) Tressel of Dubuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Rauen.
