Della C. Albright, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Burial will follow the service at McDivitt Grove Cemetery in Urbandale.

Della was born on May 13, 1922, in Hiteman, Iowa, the 11th child of Charles and Rosa Argenta. She moved to Urbandale in 1932, attending Center Country School and graduated from Johnston High School in 1939. Della was the first member of her family to graduate high school. She married Doyle Robert Albright on January 30, 1943, in Camp Claiborne, LA, while Doyle was in military training.

Della will be deeply missed by her son, Bill (Sue) Albright of Cottonwood, AZ, daughter, Bev (Roger) Rash of St. Louis, MO, and son, Bob Albright of Urbandale, IA; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle; and twelve siblings.

The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 19, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Hospice, 11333 Aurora Ave., Urbandale, IA 50322.
