Paul Leroy Manley, 85, died February 4, 2012, at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Paul was born September 7, 1926, in Traer, Iowa, to Solomon and Christina (Hansen) Manley. He was raised in Vinton, Iowa, where he graduated from Lincoln High School. In 1948, Paul moved to Des Moines and graduated from the American Institute of Business as a certified court reporter.

Paul sold real estate for more than 44 years and retired as owner of Central Realty Company. He was a member of the Greater Des Moines Board of Realtors. He was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. Paul loved the Lord and worshipped at First Federated Church for more than 30 years.

Surviving Paul are his wife, Carol; a daughter, Ann Work of Wichita Falls, Texas; Ann's two sons, Chase, an airman with the U.S. Air Force Security Forces stationed at Cheyenne Mountain AFB in Colorado Springs, and Colby of Wichita Falls; a son, Brent of Brainerd, MN and Brent's wife, Carol.

Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend, generously giving support and encouragement throughout his life.
