LaCorda passed away Thursday, March 31 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 4 at Grace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Sunday, at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be left to the family.

LaCorda Wilhelmina Anna Kueck, daughter of Fredrick and Wilhelmina (Loeslin) Gellert, was born October 25, 1928 in Fairmont, MN. After retiring from Farm Bureau, she enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking, and traveling.

Those left to honor LaCorda's memory include her daughters, Cindy (John) Longcor and Kim (Kevin) Miille; grandchildren: Joshua Miille and Melissa (Cory) Braniger; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Clayton and Layla Braniger all of Ankeny; step-grandchildren: John (Tammy) Longcor, Jim Longcor, and Jerri Longcor Romano; step-great-grandchildren: Kaleigh (Tim) Gallagher, Sara, Ryan, Alyssa and Lindsey Longcor, Shae and Jared Romano; and step-great-great-grandchildren: TJ and Jaedn Gallagher. LaCorda is also survived by her siblings: Lorin (Gladys) Gellert, Lyda Kelch, Katy (Dave) Krause, Arlene (George) Wangen, and Pauline (Bob) Broske; and many nieces and nephews.

LaCorda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; sister, Adeline; and brother, Marvin.
