George Junior Clark, 82, passed from this life on January 29, 2012 at the Kavanagh Hospice Home on 56th Street in Des Moines. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. at the Unity Church of Des Moines, 414 31st St. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

George was born to George and Ethel Clark in Hastings, Iowa on August 25, 1929. He retired from the State of Iowa DOT, where he worked as a Pressman. He is survived by his wife, Jennie, a son, James L., and a daughter, Vickie L. (Clark) Wagaman, and two sisters, Betty Benson and Linda Davis. George is also survived by three step-children, Dan (Mary) Sears, Tim A. (Carrie) Sears, Michelle V. (Mark) Stites, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, countless friends and many other whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed.
