Jimmie Lee Mullin, 72, died of lung cancer at home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Memorial services will be at a later date.

Jimmie was born in Des Moines on May 7, 1938 to Leo and Virginia (Ellsworth) Mullin. He worked as a commercial roofer for several roofing companies including Iowa Roofing for over 19 years followed by Woods Roofing. He was a member of Roofers Union Local 142. He enjoyed watching Cubs baseball, Suns and Maverick's basketball, the History Channel and Fox News. He was a hardworking man who loved his job and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 50 years, Lois, of Des Moines; three children, Keri W. Mullin of Des Moines, Karna L. (Brian) Pfeifer of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jimi L. Mullin of Des Moines; five grandchildren, Pat, Shelby, Isaiah, Zachery and Amanda; and four siblings, Dave (Sharon) Mullin of Ankeny, Diane (John) Boren of Berwick, Russ Sanford of Maquoketa and Ann Olson of Texas.
