George Edward Cater

George Edward Cater, 80, of 1811 E. 27th St. died of a heart ailment Sunday at home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Park Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Cater was born in Henderson and lived in Des Moines most of his life, retiring from the bakery at Dahl's Foods.

Surviving are his wife, Emily; a daughter,a Marilyn Cater of Des Moines; a son, David of Dalton, GA; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a step-great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. ~ The Des Moines Register, Tues 13 Aug 1991.
