Dies of Wound From Tack.
Mrs. W. Van Werden, wife of Dr. W. Van Werden, a prominent physician of Des Moines, died of blood poisining. While cleaning house, Mrs. Van Werden stepped on a tack. Dr. Van Werden dressed the wound, which was not thought at the time to be dangerous. Later she became very ill. She was removed to a hospital. All night physicians worked over her, but they were unable to save her life.
