Dorothy Worthington Hall Glynn, 94, passed away at Bickford Cottage of West Des Moines on the 6th of September 2012.

"Dotty" Glynn was born in Bennington, Vermont, the daughter of Dorothy and Leland W. Hall. She was raised in Missouri and Illinois where she graduated from Southern Illinois University. After moving to Des Moines, she was a dental hygienist for a time and also worked at Younkers Department Store where she met the love of her life, a young Frederick Arthur Glynn who ultimately became Executive Vice President of Younkers. Dotty and Fred were married in November of 1942 and had two children who survive them today, Cynthia Janine and Dr. Frederick "Craig" Glynn.

The Glynn family has stayed in Des Moines. Dotty and Fred had three grandchildren; Nicole, Kelly and Christopher who were the lights of their lives. The two were active members of Faith Lutheran Church in Clive, and "Grandma Glynn" particularly enjoyed babysitting her grandkids, singing Alto in the church choir and meeting with her antique group where she made many lifelong friends.
