Des MoinesEunice R. Ingle, 89, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, peacefully at her daughter's home. The funeral service will be 9 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines, with burial at Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia, IA.
Eunice was born January 31, 1919, in Dawson, IL to Mary and Henry Nation. She lived in Runnells for almost 40 years where she graduated from high school. In 1967, she moved from Runnells to Des Moines. Eunice was a longtime member of Ft. Des Moines Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and baking, crocheting, and needle work.
Eunice is survived by her children: Neal (Joanne) Ingle, Marlys Hassel, and Linda (Glenn) Waugh; nine grandchildren; 13 great -grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert; an infant son; her brother Ray Nation; and her sister, Dorothy Buckley.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ft. Des Moines Church of Christ or Iowa Health Hospice in memory of Eunice.
