Des MoinesJane M. Woerner, 95, passed away May 2, 2011 at Ramsey Village.
Jane was born February 21, 1916 in Des Moines. She worked in food service at East High School and Willard Elementary School. Jane loved to square dance, ballroom dance and bowl with her husband Dale. She also enjoyed crocheting and listening to big band music.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Sandy Bertram and Shelly Woerner; granddaughter, Michelle (Russell) Bolotte; grandson, Brian (Janet) Bertram; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale and her sisters, Ruth Grafton and Gertie Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Simpson United Methodist Church, 2600 Capitol Ave. followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ramsey Village, Simpson United Methodist Church and Iowa Hospice.
