Martha Belle Hall

Martha Belle Hall of 1255 E. 26th St. died of a heart attack Saturday at home. She was 85. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall, a homemaker, was born in Marysville and had lived in Des Moines wince 1926.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Rice of Des Moines; seven sons, Norman of Berryville, Va., Richard of Pleasant Hill and Dale, Melvin, Robert, Charles and Jerry, all of Des Moines; a sister Frances Thompson of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Forrest Walter of Bussey; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Wesleyan Church or the American Diabetes Association. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Tues 13 Aug 1991.
