G.W. HARTMAN RITES MONDAY

Services for George W. Hartman, 47, of 1146 E. Eighth st., will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home here with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hartman, a dock hand for Rock Island Motor Freight Lines, died Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after an illness of two months.

He was born at Summerville, Mo., and had lived in Des Moines for 15 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Baldwin-Patterson American Legion Post, Eagles Lodge No. 109 and Teamsters Local No. 147.

Survivors include his wife, Diela; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Rush and Mrs. John Rush, both of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jackie Beck; three step-sons, Morton, Ronald and Victor Machir, all of Des Moines; six brothers, Clyde of Des Moines, John of Roland, Charles of Houston, Mo., Edward of Chinook, Mont., Luke of Diamond, Mo., and Darrell of Lancaster, Cal.; four sisters, Mrs. Nelle Holland,of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mrs. Eunice Greathouse of Sarcoxie, Mo., Mrs. Ora Mae McCubbins, of Yukon, Mo., and Mrs. Rozetta McKinney of Colo; and nine grandchildren.
