BURIAL RITES TODAY FOR GEORGE BANNING

Burial service for George (Shorty) Banning, 65, a former Des Moines resident who died March 9th at Las Vegas, Nev., will be at 10:15 a.m. today at Pine Hill cemetery.

Born in Cowden, Ill., he lived in Des Moines more than 20 years. He was employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co., before entering business as an electrical contractor.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Julia C. Banning, Seward, Neb., and one brother, R.J. Banning, 509 Corning ave.
