Freddie Max Beattie, 63, passed away July 3, 2007. He was born in Des Moines, June 18, 1944.

Freddie was a Custodian for Polk county. He also had been in the Navy. Freddie was a member of the American Legion Post 689, and the Masonic Lodge 448.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon(Ackelson) Beattie; sons, Michael (Madonna) Beattie, Danny (Sarah) Beattie, Brandon (Lisa) Beattie; daughter, Teresa (Chris) Aamodt; brother, Donald (Kelly) Beattie; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by step-children Bruce, Shelly, Tracy Ackelson, and Tammy Harris.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial at the Powers-Warren Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion.
