Mary Lou Mincks, 59, of Tucson, AZ, died of cancer Aug. 16 at Kino Community Hospital there. Memorial services have been held.

Mrs. Mincks was born in Grinnell and had lived in Des Moines before moving to Tuscon in 1985. She was a homemaker and enjoyed attending church on Sundays.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; a sister, Gladys Boger of Des Moines; three brothers, including Bob Lester of Tuscon; a step-brother; and a step-sister.

*(post note) burial took place in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona. She was born 22 August 1940, and died 16 August 2000. She was laid to rest in Plot 18E, Site 659.
