Daryl Edward Williams, eldest son of Fred L. and Velma Lucille Williams, was born at Lacona, Iowa, December 5, 1935, departed this life at the home of his parents in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 15, 1944, at the age of eight years, three months, and 15 days.

In his departure he leaves a loving father and mother, a younger brother Arthur Dale, his grand parents Charles and Emma Williams of Des Moines. Also his grandmother Mrs. Maggie Newman of Lacona, Iowa, who has constantly been at his bed side for many weeks. Daryl for many months has suffered an ailment that finally took him in death. However through it all he was patient and always thoughtful of those who did everything possible to aleviate his suffering.

Funeral services conducted by the Watch Tower, were held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa, Friday, March 17, 1944, with burial at the Newbern Cemetery with Kermit L. Davis of Des Moines officiating.
