Died: September 2, 1976

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Westover Funeral Home for John Ward, 60, of Des Moines, who was killed Monday while working on a road construction site 4 miles west of Toledo on U.S. 30.

Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Dexter, Mr. Ward lived in Des Moines for 31 years. He was a state inspector for the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Creta; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Moon of Muscatine; a brother, Carl of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests any contributions be made to a memorial fund being established by the family.
