Nelson Van Horn Dies at Seventy. Was Former Resident of Wells County – Died at Des Moines.

Relative in the city received word late Saturday evening of the death of Nelson VanHorn, of near Des Moines, Iowa, at one time a resident of this county. Mr. VanHorn’s death occurred July 22, and the funeral was held there three days later.

Mr. VanHorn was past seventy years of age at the time of his death. He lived in Wells county until the time of his marriage to Sarah Krill in the year of 1860, when he moved to Iowa. He had planned to return to Bluffton on a visit a year ago, but was unable to come on account of illness. A number of nephews and nieces, surviving, reside in this city, and south of Ft. Wayne.
