Her Long Sleep. Death of Mrs. J. Mandelbaum at 10:30 a.m. Today. Held in the Highest Esteem. Leaves Four Children-Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon – Omit Flowers.

At 10:30 a.m. today, June 13, there passed away one of the best loved and most highly esteemed women of Des Moines, Mrs. Mina Mandelbaum. She was the wife of Julius Mandelbaum, the well known dry goods merchant, and their thirty-nine years residence in this city has resulted in formation of many lies outside of family circles for this honored woman was one who held all friends fast by her own loyalty, devotion and lovable character.

Mrs. Mandelbaum had been ill but three weeks, hence her taking away seems untimely, especially to the family and close friends.

Deceased was born in Bavaria, Germany, December 15, 1845. The family moved to Albany, N.Y., where in 18..3 she married Mr. Mandelbaum and soon after they came to Des Moines. Their home at 1021 West Grand avenue has been one of the most hospitable, and the many friends know to their sorrow that the mainstay of the home, the one most sadly missed, has gone from among them, leaving a husband and father with aching heart and four devoted children whose lives are clouded by this almost fatality.

The children are Morris, who is in partnership with his father in business; Misses Lillian and Carrie and Sidney, all making their homes with father and mother, creating a circle strong in sympathy and loving remembrance.

The funeral will be held from the residence at 4 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday. Rabbi Sonneschln officiating. The family request that flowers be omitted.
