MRS. HILDA A. GOODE

Mrs. Hilda A. Goode, 83, of 855 N.E. Fifty-second Ave., died Saturday at Medicenters of America, Inc. of a stroke. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Open Bible, with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Goode was born in Danforth, Ill., and lived in Jolley before moving to Des Moines in 1911. She was a charter and pioneer member of the First Church of the Open Bible, co-founder of the "Goode News Ministry" of the church, and stewardess for the Polk County Home from 1935 to 1939. She was also co-owner of the Goode Motor Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; a daughter, Mrs. Waunatta McGlothlen of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Goode News Ministry through the First Church of the Open Bible.
