Jane Benson Blocher was born on July 16, 1917 to Elmer and Mable Benson in Mason City, IA. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior February 4, 2012 at the age of 94.

Jane was united in marriage to Leon Blocher on May 6, 1944. They lived in Windsor Heights for over 50 years. She was the bookkeeper at "Blochers' Body Service" for 40 years. Jane taught Sunday School many years and while in S.Carolina sang in the "Over 70" Church Choir.

Jane is survived by her son, Jim (Kay) Blocher of Waukee; grandchildren, Kalista Savage (Tad), Tim Blocher, Paul Blocher (Deanna), Kara Roossinck (Ryan), Josh Blocher and Melody Blocher; nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Blocher) Strange and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son David, husband Leon and sisters, Marian and Jean.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McLaren's Chapel. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at
Resthaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bible Truth Publishers.
