Donald Thomas Wiedman, 68, of the 1300 block of East Ninth Street died April 8, 2000 from complications of diabetes Saturday at USA Health Care in Urbandale.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Wiedman was born in Cumming and had lived in the Des Moines area all his life. He retired as a custodian from the Des Moines Public Schools and worked part time at the Des Moines Register. He was a member at Community Church of Christ in Altoona and enjoyed fishing and collecting coins.
Surviving are his wife Deloris, two daughters, Denise Wiedman and Lori Wiedman, a son Scott, and a sister Joanne Beckett, all of Des Moines and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
