STEVEN HOWARD MACHIR

Services for Steven Howard Machir, 14, of 224 E. Thornton Ave., who died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of complications from muscular
dystrophy, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

A lifelong resident of Des Moines, he was a student at Smouse Opportunity School, a Boy Scout in Troop No. 2lO and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morton Machir; one sister, Cindra and one brother, Morton, jr. both at home; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gregory of Cottonwood, Ariz.; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Diela Hartman of Des Moines, and his paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Henderson of Des Moines.
