Margaret Helen Murphy, 62, of 4028 Hubble Ave, died of cancer Sunday July 4, 1993 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy a lifelong Des Moines resident, retired in 1992 as a secretary for the Des Moines schools and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son Tom (Dianne) of Clive; three daughters, Ann Sears and Sue Rawson, both of Des Moines and Kathy Hoover of Waterloo; a sister, Ruth Sparks of Albuquerque, NM; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lovejoy School Library Fund.
