Robert H. Burg, 89 Died at 4:30 a.m. July-30-2009 Tuesday. Born March 24, 1920, he was the son of Emil and Ruth Anderson Burg. On May23, 1943 he married Helen A. Steingreaber.
He was a graduate of Burlington High School.
Bob served in the Army in World War II and when separated from the Army he and Helen were employed by the State of Iowa as X-ray technicians operating a Mobile X-ray unite checking State hospitals and instutions. In the mid fifties Bob joined Library Binding Service of Des Moines as a graphic photographer retiring in 1983.
He was an avid woodworker and train enthusiast and enjoyed music and photography.
He was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church.
His wife Helen survives him. His parents, two half sisters, one brother, and one infant brother preceded him in death.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
