Rosa Garton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Garton, died Saturday evening at 5 o'clock, after an illness of only two weeks. Rosa, with her quiet cheerfulness and sweet ways had wound the tendrils of love around all the hearts at home and the transplanting, even to the fields of everlasting flowers and sunlight, is not without pangs of the bitterest pain. It is hard to reconcile ourselves to the thought that the young lips will not answer responsive to our voice or that the little feet will no longer patter along the hall and trip across the parlor to greet with a kiss the mother or father who center their ambition and shower their affection upon her. She has greeted the angels of the family who were called by the Savior as little children, ere this and her home in the future is where the wretchedness of this world which comes to the most favored will never mar her future and where the loving hearts left here may hope to find her by and by. She was buried this afternoon at half past one o'clock. THE IOWA STATE LEADER, Des Moines, Iowa Monday April 30, 1877
