“Carl Jameison Grant, 74, of 2330 E. Twelfth St. was dead on arrival Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He had been ill three weeks.

Services will be at noon Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Grant, a retired city fireman, was born in Bondurant and lived in Mitchellville before moving to Des Moines 55 years ago. He was a member of Home Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory and the Des Moines Fire Fighters Association.

Susrvivors include his wife, Elsie; a daughter , Mrs. Carolyn Jane Cline and a son, Carl J., jr., both of Des Moines, and six grandchildren.”

Carl Jamieson Grant was born November 9, 1900 and departed this life on February 4, 1975.
