Delores (Connie) McConnell Prior, 90, of Ames, passed away Saturday, January 29. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 3, at First United Metodist Church.

Delores was born November 13, 1920, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of James and Maude E. (Glass) McConnell. She attended high school in Atlantic and Wiota, Iowa.

Delores married Raymond C. Prior November 8, 1947, in Omaha, NE. On arriving in Ames in 1949, she was employed for a time at the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. After some years as a homemaker, she again entered the business work with her position of administrative assistant in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State University, retiring in 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; son, R. James Prior of Ames; and two grandchildren, Kara and Isaac, of Ames. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, James I. McConnell of Kearney, NE.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Israel Family Hospice House.
