Julia B. Tompkins Winslow, 73, died May 12, 1989 in Ontario OR of emphysema.

Born ca. l915 in Steamboat Rock, grew up in Marshalltown, lived in Des Moines a number of years, moved to Oregon in 1988.

Employed as underwriter for Preferred Risk Insurance Co., retiring in 1980.
Member of Capitol Hill Christian Church, Parents Without Partners, VFW Women's Group

Surviving: two sons, Ronald Tompkins of Ontario OR and Raymond Tompkins of Boise ID; two step-daughters, Loretta Chalfant of Canyon County CA and Doris Sherman of Cedar Creek TX; one step-son, William Winslow, Jr. of Des Moines; five grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Mackaman of Des Moines.

Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Pleasant Hill.
