Kenneth G. Tompkins, 58, Des Moines, formerly of Marshalltown, died Saturday, August 4, 1973 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines of cancer.

He was born at Alden and resided in Des Moines for 24 years. He was self employed as a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamster's Union local 90 and member of the Elks Club. He served in the SeaBees in World War II.

He is survived by his widow Julia; two sons, Ronald K. of Longmont CO, and Raymond L. of Los Angeles CA; three sisters, Mrs. Phylis Boege, Denver CO, Mrs. Doris Uhde and Mrs. Frances Peterson, both of Marshalltown; three brothers, Vern and Alva, both of Marshalltown, and Cloe, Des Moines; and four grandchildren.

Burial at Oakwood Cemetery at Pleasantville.
