DANNY F. CARROLL

Danny F Carroll, 60 passed away Sunday September 20, 2009, at Taylor House Hospice from complications of Glioblastoma multiforme.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday September 23, at the funeral home.

Danny was born on July 28, 1949, to Gene and Frances Carroll in Des Moines, IA. He grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High school in 1968 and married Sherry Huxford in 1976. He was a member of Southtown Baptist Church and was a wonderful husband and father. He loved his wife, sons, granddaughter and dog Nutchie. Danny will be remembered for his deep appreciate for life, keen sense of humor and his profound work ethic. Danny spent most of his working years at the family business, Carroll Auto Wrecking.

Those left to cherish Dan's memory include his wife, Sherry; sons, Paul and Tyler Carroll; granddaughter, Payton; mother, Frances Carroll; brothers, David and Dewayne Carroll all of Des Moines; sister, Debbie (Dan) BeLieu of Martensdale; mother-in- law, Phyliss Huxford; brothers-in-law, Phill (Denise) Huxford, Don Huxford Jr.and Bill (Connie) Huxford of Norwalk; special friends, Frank Short and Doug Ewing. Danny is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Carroll; brothers, Dennis and Dale Carroll; father-in-law, Don Huxford, Sr..

The family would like to express their appreciation for his extraordinary medical team at Mercy Medical Center, caring Dr. Jose Angel and the other professions whom have made Dan's 5 ½ year journey one filled with dignity and grace.
