John A. Mally, 75, of Elkhart died of cancer Thursday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be in Greenwood Friends Cemetery at Ankeny.

Mr. Mally was born in Des Moines and moved to Elkhart 42 years ago. He formerly farmed near Elkhart and later retired as an assembler for Little Giant Crane and Shovel in Des Moines. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Elkhart Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; three sons, Jim Ingram of Scottsdale, AZ., Gary Ingram of Elkhart and Paul Mally of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters, Janice Simmons of Owatonna, MN., Judy Lint of Polk City and Carol Kinney of St. Charles; two brothers, Ward of Elkhart and George of Atlantic; a sister, Margaret Randolph of Anamosa; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
