Frank S. Stickney, 85, Elk Point, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1990 in a Vermillion hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Elk Point United Parish. Rev. Donald Greenough officiated.

Burial was in the Elk Point cemetery under direction of the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point.

Mr. Stickney was born July 1, 1904 in Elk Point. He graduated from Elk Point High School and attended the University of South Dakota, graduating from the University of Iowa college of commerce. He married Clela J. Garret June 12, 1929 in Chicago, Ill. He was employed with the office of Price Administration and the rationing board in Sioux City and Des Moines until 1950, when he bought the Union County Abstract and Title Company in Elk Point. He was a member of the Elk Point United Parish. He was a member of the Elk Point Masonic Lodge 3, the Yankton Consistory and K.C.C.H. the Abu Bekr Shrine, Sahib's unit of the Sioux City and York Rite Bodies. He was past president of the South Dakota Land Title Association and the Abstractor's board of examiners.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Frank G. of Elk Point; a sister Marjorie Pierson of Osh Kosh, Wise., and a granddaughter, Gwen of Elk Point.
