Frances Green, 92, passed away peacefully at Ramsey Village in Des Moines on Friday, July 2, 2010.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 followed by the service at 2 p.m. at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Frances was born July 31, 1917, in Des Moines to Velma and Milton Cox. She was a member of Eastern Star and Indianola Heights Evangelical Free Church and worked for Look Magazine and National Traveler's Life.

She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Smith, Leah (Milo) Ferrari, Reah (Robert) Briles, Jacklyn (Larry) Jackson; brother, Bill Cox; sister, Pauline Ruble; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Burton Green.
