ROBERT CHARLES BOOTS, Des Moines

Robert Charles Boots, 86, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Robert was born April 20, 1923 in Redfield, Iowa to Joseph and Lucille (Harrison) Boots. He was a 1941 graduate of North High School in Des Moines. Robert worked 53 years at Iowa Film Depot. He was a Boy Scout leader, worked in Awanas, enjoyed gardening and was very active at First Federated Church.

Robert is survived by two sons, Bill (Candy) Boots of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Chuck Boots of Des Moines; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; brother, Paul (Corine) Boots of Guthrie Center, IA; two sisters, Barb (Ken) McClain of Ankeny and Ruth (Jim) King of Grizzly Flats, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Boots.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McLaren's Chapel.
