Pat Kiel, 61, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines from cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 1, at St. Ambrose Cathedral, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Pat was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1948 to Juanita and Kenneth Clark. She moved to Ankeny in 1957 and worked as a purchasing clerk at Firestone for 21 years. Pat married Ron Kiel in 1990 and they made their home in Clive before recently moving to West Des Moines. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her precious pets.

Pat is survived by her husband, Ron, her children, Kendra (Gary) Marshall, Kelly Conway; her brother Tom (Shirley) Clark; her grandchildren, Alexis, Chris, Noah, and Meghan; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel where a rosary vigil will be held at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice or the Mercy Cancer Center.
