Barbara J. Harvey, 74, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Barbara was born July 27, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to George and Lella Giles. She had lived in Ankeny, Kalispell, MT and Perry prior to moving to Corydon. Barbara was a member of the Corydon Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to garage sales, camping and cooking. Barbara loved to visit her daughter in Montana, spending time with all of her family and she especially enjoyed the family reunions.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Hugh Harvey of Corydon; seven children, Robert Rosendahl of Wallawalla, WA, Mike (Shawn) Harvey of Corydon, Theresa (Richard) Gregg of Kalispell, MT, Jerry (Carol) Harvey of Promise City, George (Jackie) Harvey of Panora, Doug (Carol) Harvey of Madrid, Tasha Stucker of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Butler of Indianola. Barbara loved and helped raise 375 foster children over a 35 year period.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Harvey; three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Chapel.
