MaryAnn Herman, 75, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, at Ankeny Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church with burial at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

MaryAnn was born November 7, 1932 to John and Helen Masterson. She was married to Archie "Dale" Herman in 1955. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Broadlawns Medical Center and retired after 25 years.

Survivors include her five daughters, Pam (Dan) George of Altoona, Deb (Carl) Burt of Earlham, Diane Herman of Ankeny, Janet Herman of Ankeny, and Julie Mass of Bondurant; four grandchildren, Christopher, Libby, Ashley, and Jess; four great grandchildren, Daylee, Chloe, Lilly, and Katelynn; three sisters, Phyllis Siverly of Milton, WI, Dorie Purcell of Rockford, IL, and Janet (Gary) Morehart of Milton, WI; one brother, Tom (Joan) Masterson of Janesville, WI; brother-in-law, Robert (Georgia) Herman; and sister-in-law, Margie Herman. MaryAnn is preceded in death by her husband Archie "Dale" Herman, and her parents.

Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Iowa Lutheran Hospital or to the family in loving memory of MaryAnn.
