Des MoinesMr. John "Robbie" Robertson, 63, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at VA Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
John was born in Des Moines and was a graduate of Johnston High School in 1964. He was a retired US Marine and served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Linda; son, Benjamin; daughters Dawn and Staci; granddaughter, Jasmine McClintic; mother-in-law, LaMerne Lettington; niece, Lisa Schaper; cousins and many friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ruth Robertson, his brothers Jim and Bill and his father-in-law, Clyde Lettington.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2008 at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is being established in John's name.
