DELORES FRANCES BELL

Delores Frances Bell was born to Byrl H. Caldwell and Myrtle Frampton on April 10, 1923 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Delores was educated in the Omaha School District. She was a ceramics instructor and taught classes for several years, receiving many awards for her creativity and design. She loved to crochet. She made beautiful quilts, afghans, and many other things.

Delores was married to Samuel Bell and they shared many years of happiness together. Samuel preceded Delores in death.

Delores was blessed with two sons, Steven Caldwell and Joseph Foster. She has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Delores was a faithful member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, serving as an usher, a member of the Elizabeth Tolliver Missionary Society, kitchen committee, and class leader.

She was a member of Princess Zorah #10, O.E.S., Zeid Court #50, Daughter of Isis, Sisters Club, Court of Calanthe of K.P., and Socialite Queens.

Delores began her homegoing on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Kavanagh House.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sons and grandchildren; special friends, Sylvia Griffith and Vera Kemp; a host of friends and loved ones.

Delores will never be forgotten.

Funeral services for Delores will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church, 1544 E University. Visitation will take place at Merle Hay Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 4. There will also be a time for visitation at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
