Mary L. Concannon, 98, passed away on April 5, 2009 at the Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8 in Our Lady of Peace Chapel at the Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass.

Mary was born on February 27, 1911 in Kent, Iowa to James and Mary McCann. She worked as an executive secretary all of her working life. She retired at the age of 90, after working 35 years for the US Postal Service in Greensburg, PA.

She will be missed by her brother, Francis (Eileen) Paulus of West Des Moines and their children, Patrick Paulus of West Des Moines, Robert (Kristin) Paulus of West Des Moines, Michael (Terri) Paulus of Omaha, NE, Mary (Chuck) Koger of Clive, and Timothy (Merenciana) Paulus of Des Moines; a niece, Marie (Zoar) Bialobroda of Palm Dale, CA, daughter of deceased sister, Helen Tracy; and eleven great- nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband, James; parents; stepfather, Frank O. Paulus; and sister, Helen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Drumm Retirement Center, 5837 Winwood Dr., Johnston, IA 50131
