Loretta Chenoweth, 91, died Saturday March 15, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center due to complications of hip surgery. S

ervices will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Loretta was born January 17, 1912 in Mystic, Iowa to John Paul Lynch and Annie Veronica McConville.

She worked many years as a secretary in the banking and business fields.

She lived many years in the Davenport and Des Moines areas.

Loretta was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Women's Guild, Altar and Rosary Society, and Catholic Women's League.

She enjoyed gardening, music, playing the piano, singing, needlework, avid follower of current events, dedicated Democrat and enjoyed attending morning mass.

She is survived by sons, Donald Chenoweth of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis Chenoweth of Davenport, Iowa; daughters, Kelly Chenoweth Seaton of Chicago, Ill., Annie Laurie Reese, Susan LeMar, and Michelle Chenoweth all of West Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents her husband Donald Vernon Chenoweth (1986) and she was the youngest and last surviving child of 10 children.

Memorial gifts may be made to her church or Karen Acres Care Center Activity Fund.

Brooks Funeral Care, University Chapel, is handling arrangements.
